Most of my paintings are heavily influenced by my photographic experience. Some are directly influenced by photographs I have captured and have been painted as a recollection of feelings and memories from that time, while others are compositionally influenced by my photographic work. Collectively, many of these works address my ties to memories- some joy filled yet slowly escaping my mind, others coated with painful emotions and uncertainty, and finally some a clouded combination of the two emotions. Other paintings included here are painted solely for my enjoyment or growth through practice.
