Alyssa McCarn

Alyssa McCarn is an artist based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. She received her BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in photography from Baylor University. In her fine art photography, her work revolves around the ideas of internal reflection in relation to place, our depth of understanding of the inner lives of others and our complicated ties to memories. Her photographic work has been shown at the Martin Museum of Art, Houston Center for Photography, and the Texas Photographic Society.

Most recently, Alyssa expanded her artistic endeavors to include graphic design, completing the certificate in Graphic and Digital Design from Parsons School of Design at The New School. In particular, she enjoys creating illustrations, social media graphics, layout design, and logo development.

Beyond photography and design, Alyssa also has a passion for dance. She has trained for 20 years at various studios in the DFW metroplex and was a member of Baylor Dance Company for four years, and an officer for three. Alyssa works as a teacher and choreographer for dance programs in Texas and Tennessee. Her pieces have received choreography awards at both regional and national competitions.
